The Berea-Midpark baseball team fell, 4-2, against Olmsted Falls Wednesday afternoon at Volunteer Park. With the loss, the Titans fall to 2-6 overall and 1-5 in Southwestern Conference play.
Giano Zuccaro pitched a gem of a game for the Orange and Blue in his third outing of the season. The sophomore went six solid innings, giving up no runs and striking out nine.
The Titans found the first run of the game in the bottom of the second inning. Jordan Cupach started it with a lead-off double down the third base line. Junior Sal Rocco would drive Cupach home for the opening score. Matt Morelli would knock in the Titans second run of the game in the fourth to give the Titans a two run lead.
Olmsted Falls would answer with one run in the sixth and three in the seventh to give them the lead and eventually the win as Berea-Midpark was unable to answer the late rally.
The Titans will travel to Avon Lake Thursday April 11th to battle the Shoremen. First pitch is set for 4:30 pm.
