An Nguyen, a freshman on the Berea-Midpark gymnastics team, has been named the Southwestern Conference Gymnast of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
The freshman competed in her first all-around and finished second on the bars with a score of 8.3 and tied for fifth on the floor exercise with a score of 9.0. The two scores helped Berea-Midpark to a victory over Magnificat, St Joseph Academy and North Ridgeville.
