As hundreds of Titan student-athletes are affected by the early conclusion to the spring athletic season, the Berea-Midpark Athletic Department would like to recognize the spring senior class of 2020.  Each day we will recognize one of our spring seniors in our newest feature, “Senior Spotlight”.  We want to thank all of our seniors for the dedication to their sport, their team and their academics throughout their time at Berea-Midpark.  Today’s Senior Spotlight features:

Luke Wolak

Sport: Track & Field
Events: 300m Hurdles, 4x400m Relay, Long Jump
Other Sports: Football and Indoor Track & Field
Post Graduation:
Major: Early Childhood Development and Education

What does your pre-meet routine look like before an event?  Any superstitions?
I like to visualize the game or race before performing.

What is the most memorable moment of your Berea-Midpark athletic career so far?
When I intercepted a pass to
seal the homecoming game victory over Olmsted Falls my junior season.

In your opinion, what is the biggest reason your program has had success?
We have knowledgeable coaches who are dedicated to getting us better.

How much do you think you have learned about the sport since your freshman year? What is the biggest difference that you see in yourself?
I have learned a lot about technique and mental toughness from Track & Field.

What does it mean to you to be a Titan?
It means balancing school and athletics in a way that I am able to excel in both.
