Girls Varsity Softball · Senior Spotlight – Lindsey Wodzisz

As hundreds of Titan student-athletes are affected by the early conclusion to the spring athletic season, the Berea-Midpark Athletic Department would like to recognize the spring senior class of 2020.  Each day we will recognize one of our spring seniors in our newest feature, “Senior Spotlight”.  We want to thank all of our seniors for the dedication to their sport, their team and their academics throughout their time at Berea-Midpark.  Today’s Senior Spotlight features:

Lindsey Wodzisz

Sport: Softball
Positions: Outfield, 3rd base, 2nd base
Post Graduation: Baldwin Wallace University
Major: Applied Mathematics

What does your pre-game routine look like before a game?  Any superstitions?
My pregame usually consists of both dynamic and static stretches, infield/outfield warmups, and hitting stations

What is the most memorable moment of your Berea-Midpark athletic career so far?
So far, I would say that the most memorable moment of my Berea-Midpark career was winning the SWC 2019 JV tournament against Westlake.

In your opinion, what is the biggest reason your program has had success?
I think that our softball program has had success because our players put in hard work everyday and take additional time outside of practice to better their skills.

How much do you think you have learned about the sport since your freshman year? What is the biggest difference that you see in yourself?
I have definitely learned a lot about the game of softball since my freshman year. One of the most important things I’ve learned is to be more confident in my playing ability. I learned that if you doubt yourself and your skill, you will have a much harder time showing everyone what you’re made of. Seeing myself now as a senior, I think my level of confidence is the biggest difference I see in myself.

What does it mean to you to be a Titan?
A Titan is someone who is strong, powerful, and successful in their field of work. To me, being a Titan is being driven and passionate about everything I do inside and outside of school; always trying to be the best I can be.
